After cleaning in 'oil' this artifact has some interesting text:

On the front of the 'Coin' / 'Medallion';
"..To Commemorate the visit of.........and Duchess of York.
..To Sheffield 1895"

The back of the 'Coin' / 'Medallion' shows a male figure with moustache and beard, similar to a coin, with the text;
"Duke ............Duchess of York". And a date 1895.

Can anyone enlighten us as to whom may have been given this interesting piece?
